Neon Nails

Hi Beauties!

Me and a few other girls get together for a nail polish challenge every season. We all come together, think of ideas and put a button together. We call it the Busy Girl Nails Challenge. You can be as creative as you want or just go with one color and keep it simple. Its just fun to do and see what everyone comes up with. If you have instagram please join us!

This week was Neons and oh how I love me some neon colors in the summer. I wanted to do something fun of course so I went with a sponged gradient. This was also my first attempt at a tape mani. I decided to just keep it super simple since I've never worked with striping tape before. Overall, I really like how it turned out!
Polishes used: White base is Julie G White Orchid, The rest are Salon Perfect: Perky Pink, Flamingo Flair, and Cabana Boy. It is topped with Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat.

Nails of Instagram and a little update.

Hi Beauties!

I am such a horrible blogger these days. Not that I don't want to blog often, its just hard because I don't have my setup. Our house is up for sale and that means everything that is considered "clutter" has to be packed up and out of sight. Well, that meant my whole beauty setup! Hopefully this process ends soon because it has been some of the most stressful and frustrating times in my life. I just want to get back to my "normal" and hopefully that is sooner than later.
Anyways, if you don't follow me on instagram you should go follow now! I am super active on there and love chit chatting with everyone. My instagram name is MirandasMakeup so easy and easy to find. I actually have a giveaway going on there right now so go enter!!

I thought it would be fun to show you my mani's from the past week.

Want details? Just check my IG or comment below and I will let you know.

I am hoping to get on a more normal blogging schedule but right now my normal is all over the place. Thank you so much for supporting and sticking around while I get through all this!

Covergirl + Olay Facelift Effect Foundation Light Medium{Pictures & Review}

Hi Beauties!

When I see new foundations I get all giddy. Could this be the one? Will it be my new go to?

I along with many others seem to be in that forever search for the perfect foundation. The one that just meshes with your skin and combats all that your wanting. I want to combat my acne marks, my fine lines, and my oiliness. Something that will give me a flawless finish but last through the day.
Since I have been very pleased with covergirl 3 in 1 foundation, I had to try this. Seeing the new sign pushed me over the edge. I couldn't leave the store without it. It cost around $15 and came in 4 shades I believe.

{I used this real technique brush for this post but now prefer the sponge from them or the beauty blender.}

This is shade light/medium

Here you can see how well it covered my face and evened it out. Very pleased with that.

Kept the makeup minimal for the day. Seeing how it would hold up.

Later in the afternoon.

My Thoughts:
I really do like this foundation but it doesn't combat my oiliness. I didn't think it would but I had hoped. Even though the oil came through, it didn't make my face look blotchy. It stays looking nice throughout the day and with a powder a couple times during the day, keeps my face looking fresh and my discoloration away. I liked that I didn't have to use a bunch to cover my face and that I really didn't need to use concealer for any scarring. I think this would be perfect for those who have dry skin. It hydrates and just leaves a beautiful satin finish.
I think I would repurchase but for a winter time foundation. This won't be my go to during summer months.

Have you tried this yet? What do you think?

Sincerely Polish: Magical Pixie Hollow Fairy Collection

Hi Beauties!

After a lot of thinking, I've decided to just stick with this blog. It has gotten me to this point and out of it I have met great people and have has great opportunities with some awesome companies. I hope to get it back out there and people can find me again. If only a few people read, I am happy. I just don't want to give up something I love because of a bad thing that happened. Anyways, lets get on to the post!

I have a gorgeous glitter polish collection from Sincerely Polish. Karen makes some awesome polish. She is one of my favorites when it comes to indie so definitely check all her beautiful polish out! Buy 1 or 10, You won't regret it!

This collection is named after Tinkerbell and all the fairies so I had to get this collection. Reason being, my daughter. Tinkerbell is her favorite so I knew she would get a kick out of this collection and using it.

They are all GORGEOUS. Most full coverage glitters that take 2 coats. You choose if you want an undie under them but most likely you will love them on their own. I don't even know how to choose a favorite from this collection. All beautifully equal and unique.

Don't forget to check her store out: http://sincerelypolish.storenvy.com/

I would love to hear which polishes you might like!

PopSugar Must Have Snacks by Naturebox

Hi Beauties!

Oh, how I love to snack. I think that is 75% of my problem before I lost the weight. I would get bored and snack, stressed so I would snack, and just because, I would snack. Not OK when it was a lot of junk!

Getting healthy, losing weight and just taking care of myself has been great now. I am learning so much and thankful I am in this state of mind. I know I don't have to give up my snacks, I just have to be better with them. So, a huge thanks to being a PopSugar Select, I got to try out this box and of course I was all about that. I had never really heard of this but after researching, I knew it was perfect for me.

Popsugar teamed up with naturebox and created this yummy box. It comes with 5 different, healthy snacks that are full of flavor and something for everyone. Good ingredients and just overall the better choice.
You can get your first box half off. I totally recommend trying it out. You can get a box with 5 different snacks for $9.95...ummmm why wouldn't you want to try that! After that its only $19.95 a month which for good, nutritious, guilt free snacks, is not a bad price at all. I know I will be getting these from now on. You can also change your subscription to get 10 snack bags for $29.95 or 20 bags for $49.95.
There is a shipping fee for those outside the continental US. It is $1.97

Now for the yummy stuff. I put them in order of my favorite to least favorite(which was tough!)
These are so crunchy yet airy and have such great flavor, you get that instant blueberry kick. Just amazing.

I love lemon and I love pistachios....I didn't think about them going together. Oh how they go great together though. Great lemony flavor that makes you not want to share the bag(I did though. ha)

I got this in my Popsugar Must Have Box so I was so excited to see it again. It is a mixture of sweet and salty.

Crunchy little things full of flavor. A handful of these lets you get that savory salty flavor without feeling guilty.

I loved everything but these not as much. I didn't not like them but I wouldn't want them again. I am not huge into peaches so maybe that's why. Not bad at all just not for me.

Learning about this box and tasting the treats has been fun and a great way to get those moments of snack weakness without feeling the guilt if you were to say eat a bag of salty greasy chips or half a bag of chocolate chips. Ya most of us have been there and then hated ourselves after. Why not get something like this for yourself. You deserve some good snacks!

POPSUGAR and NatureBox provided me with a complimentary POPSUGAR Must Have Snacks by NatureBox box. The opinions I have shared about the box are my own, and POPSUGAR and NatureBox did not tell me what to say or how to say it

April PopSugar Must Have Box

Hi Beauties!

Oh subscription boxes, they are so big these days. I am totally guilty of loving to many of them! I had to actually cut back because it was getting a bit out of control.
When I had the chance to receive a Popsugar Must have box, I was stoked. I love these boxes! They are one of the higher priced ones but they make it totally worth it. Just look at Aprils box:

How cool is this tote. Folds up after your done, making it easy to store anywhere! I keep this in my car now. I love the flower design too. I wouldn't mind getting a few more of these.

Ummm, delicious. A snack you don't have to feel guilty about. Can I get a family size bag??

I love this cute little notepad for my random thoughts or goals. This is going in my purse.

So Too Faced is one of my favorites. Seeing this...awesome! It is gorgeous and pigmented. The shadows are silky smooth and you can create so many pretty looks with this little compact which is just as cute itself.

I love this hand soap. For those with fragrance sensitivity, you might not care for this since it has a stronger scent. I love the rose scent and the lingering scent it gives after you've rinsed it off.

How about these totally awesome towels?! I think they go great in the car for anything you might need to clean(especially with have kids...lots of messes!)

I love that I really love everything about this box.

Right now you can save $10 on a 3 month subscription.
Just use code: APRILSELECT
Good till tomorrow so don't miss out!

JulieG Nail Polish: Cruise Collection

Hi Beauties!

I am once again so pleased with JulieG polish. I actually spotted this deal on groupon. It was $12.99 for the complete Cruise Collection so I immediately bought 2 sets. One for me and one for a giveaway(stay tuned!)
When they were delivered, I of course tore right into the box. The colors looked even better than on computer. Then came swatching time. One after one was beautiful. Formula was amazing and so is lasting time. I totally recommend these polishes! I believe you can now find them at Rite Aid or you can purchase at >>Click to be directed to site<<
They retail for $3.99 each.

This is Santorini. My favorite blue lately.

Old San Juan. An orange that I can see myself wearing over and over this summer!

Miami Beach. On my toes as we speak. Actually been on toes since I got it. I just love it.

Rio De Janieiro. A gorgeous berry toned purple. Yup, you guessed it. I love it.

Canary Islands. My favorite color is yellow so of course I like this but it is a little tricky to work with. It is better than most other yellows I've tried though so that is awesome!

Tahiti just might be my favorite out of the collection. It is this gorgeous mint green color with shimmer. I wasn't expecting shimmer in any of these and it was a nice surprise to see this!

I really have no bad thoughts on these. Try this or any of the other polishes from her line. You won't be disappointed.

Do you have this collection or are you planning on getting it?
