Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Hi Beauties!

I am all about trying new face brushes or in this case a new sponge. I love my beauty blender. It has been my go-to tool for my foundation. I reach for it so much compared to my brushes. The only problem....
The price. Yes it works great and is worth it but could the Real Techniques possibly take its place and not hurt the wallet?
Well, I will tell you....It does! I instantly loved it from the first try. After hearing rave after rave from my friend Ashley, I knew I MUST get my hands on it. I checked Ulta over and over and over again and nothing. I ended up giving in and ordering from because I was so sick of waiting to see if it would come in the store.

It retails for $5.99 yes $5.99!

This is when damp

right after using the sponge with foundation. I even used extra to see how it would work and it just made the foundation melt into my skin.

My finished low key makeup day face. Wasn't going anywhere but wanted to show you the results. No concealer used except for a little under eye concealer.

I seriously love this sponge. I have been using it every time I use foundation and almost want to buy a backup just in case! It helps foundation go on so smoothly, melting it into the skin and you don't get any of that cakeyness you might get with a brush even if you use too much. It covers imperfections and helps great a wonderful canvas for the rest of your makeup.
It also works great with under eye concealer. Just use the tip part of the sponge and it will blend out your concealer beautifully.
I really have nothing bad to say about this makeup sponge. The only bad part is finding it in the store. Hoping they will start having it in stock regularly.
I personally think it works just as great as the beauty blender giving beautiful results. I know I will buy it again and again.

Lets see beauty blender for $19.99 or Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge for $5.99?

"All because of this glitter polish" mani

Hi Beauties!

As you can guess from the title, this mani is centered around Loaded Lacquer's Oxygen Bar. It is such a gorgeous glitter! I really love how this mani turned out. I am still working on stamping so getting this feather looking this good made me very, very happy.

I used Sation Cast a Spell on You and Lollipop! Goes the Princess. The feather stamp is from Winstonia store plate W108.

Indie Friday{Sincerely Polish}

Hi Beauties!

As a polish lover, I love to try anything and everything especially Indie polishes. They are some of the coolest and different polishes out there. I also love getting to know the creator. To see why they began making and just to chit chat with them. It's all fun. So I thought what better way then to start featuring Indie makers on here, give a little background on them and of course show the goods! So here we have Karen from Sincerely Polish.
I asked her to give a little about me and then answer a few fun questions. She was wonderful and totally up for it all so here we go.

Tell us about yourself.
A little about me.. Hmm
I graduated as a Psychology and Sociology Major. I was a teacher for 1 year and although it was a wonderful experience, the school was unfortunately very disorganized which made it quite stressful for me. I was unemployed for 1 year wondering what I should be doing with my life.

I contemplated being a writer (because I love reading), I tried selling cupcakes and macarons (because I love baking), I even tried blogging (because I love make-up and beauty products). But I was still lost.

I finally got a job as an administrative assistant which is a pretty good stable job. Once I saved enough money, I ventured into nail polish making.

That's pretty much how my indie business started. I was searching for an outlet where I can be creative and do something that makes me happy. So far it's been great. I have a full time job where I receive income and keeps me going and a small business where I get to be me and express myself.

What was the first polish you made?
The first polish I made was never released. I bought a kit that I played around with for a while. But the first one I made for my collection that was released was Maria Veronica. She went through a few changes. At first she was a white crelly until I finally decided that a light pink crelly would be best.

Do you have a favorite?
Favorites: I'd like to say that they're all my favorites because I do a lot of planning and testing before the final product is finished. But if I was a buyer, I'd pick Marie Joyce, Mia, Mariel and Dance Up on Me.

Anything else my readers should know about you or is there any fun facts you would like to share?
I fell out of a moving vehicle when I was six and still living in the Philippines. It was a jeepney/service van vehicle and I was playing Marco Polo with other kids inside (don't ask who we were able to do that but we did).. then the back door opened and I feel on my butt... I rolled for what seemed like forever until I finally stopped. I was more worried about being left behind because I could see the vehicle driving away so when I finally stopped rolling, I stood up and ran as fast as I could chasing after the van. Finally the van stopped and I reached it. That' when I started crying but I was totally fine. Only had a few bruises.

Love baking, cooking, scrapbooking, reading and of course glitters and making polishes.

I have the most vivid dreams and I can sometimes control them and do what I want.

I love scary movies and freaking myself out.

And now for her polishes. They all were awesome. Went on great and just beautiful!

Beautiful, huh? Which do you like most?

Definitely check her shop out!

Influenster J'Adore VoxBox

Hi Beauties!

I was lucky enough to be chosen to receive the J'adore VoxBox from Influenster. I don't know exactly how they determine who gets them but I hope to get more! They are so fun to get and a great way to try some products you haven't tried or haven't heard of.

I think this VoxBox is my favorite of the ones I have received.

Oh you know I ripped open this bag of kisses right away!

I don't wear lashes often so I am saving these for a fun night out but I love the looks of them and how natural they look!

This was my least favorite from the box. It gave my hair a weird feeling and I just didn't like it.

Like the kisses, I ripped open one and made some tea. I love the Creme Caramel one. I even looked for it when I was at the store but didn't see it. Hopefully next time.

This mask is a must try BUT be careful, its not like other masks. It is liquidy. I, thinking it was thick like others when to squeeze and a mess went everywhere. Oops! Other than that, it washes off so easily and my face feels so refreshed after using it. I will definitely buy this when I run out.

A bonus for the hubby. Awesome! He actually really likes this stuff and ladies... It smells SO good. You will want to keep smelling it.
Really pleased with this box! I so hope to get another VoxBox in the future!

Did you get a VoxBox?

I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster.

Milani Power Lip: Strawberry Sugar

Hi Beauties!

I swear when new lip products come out, I want one of each actually every shade of every new item but then I come back to reality and try one, see how I like it, then go buy tons more!

This is one of Milani's fun new products they just released. It is the Power Lip. A gloss stain that is long lasting while moisturizing. I always get iffy with stains because my lips are so dry in the first place that I feel like I have to apply chapstick every 5 minutes when wearing a stain. So, seeing the moisturizing word got me. I had to try and see what my lips thought.

They retail around $6 depending on where you go. You can also find them: HERE
I found mine at Fred Meyers.

Now for my thoughts.
I typically don't go for these milky pink colors because I feel they don't look good on me. With this one I actually liked it. However, I had to blend it out with my fingers. Using the brush tip does put it on a bit thick and the color is more intense. I find the more opaque the color, the more I didn't like it on me.
As for long lasting, it was. I found it lasted me 4 hours before I felt it got a little patchy due to drinking.
Moisturizing? eh, for me not so much. Like I said, I have dry lips. I swear I can coat them with a tube of chapstick and they still will be dry so for me this just wasn't moisturizing like I hoped.
Would I purchase again?
Yes! I loved the color payoff and I think another color I am more comfortable with I would love even more. I really want to try the Macaroon and Raspberry tart.
