JulieG Nail Polish: Cruise Collection

Hi Beauties!

I am once again so pleased with JulieG polish. I actually spotted this deal on groupon. It was $12.99 for the complete Cruise Collection so I immediately bought 2 sets. One for me and one for a giveaway(stay tuned!)
When they were delivered, I of course tore right into the box. The colors looked even better than on computer. Then came swatching time. One after one was beautiful. Formula was amazing and so is lasting time. I totally recommend these polishes! I believe you can now find them at Rite Aid or you can purchase at >>Click to be directed to site<<
They retail for $3.99 each.

This is Santorini. My favorite blue lately.

Old San Juan. An orange that I can see myself wearing over and over this summer!

Miami Beach. On my toes as we speak. Actually been on toes since I got it. I just love it.

Rio De Janieiro. A gorgeous berry toned purple. Yup, you guessed it. I love it.

Canary Islands. My favorite color is yellow so of course I like this but it is a little tricky to work with. It is better than most other yellows I've tried though so that is awesome!

Tahiti just might be my favorite out of the collection. It is this gorgeous mint green color with shimmer. I wasn't expecting shimmer in any of these and it was a nice surprise to see this!

I really have no bad thoughts on these. Try this or any of the other polishes from her line. You won't be disappointed.

Do you have this collection or are you planning on getting it?

Nicka K New York polish

Hi Beauties!

If you have yet to try Nicka K New York polish, you should soon. I have been nothing but happy with the polishes I won recently and now want to buy ones I don't have.
They're budget friendly retailing for $4.99 on the website
Nicka K Nail polish<<<Click to be directed to site

Lots of fun looking colors and the formula is just awesome, also long lasting. I really love the bottle too.
Only bad part, no names. I didn't see a name on any of the ones I won so I am not 100% positive on which name is which.
I think this one is lavender. A beautiful pastel purple that is opaque in 2 coats.

Also apart of my winnings is this Blue Diamond Topcoat. It retails for $3.99. It isn't the best I've ever used but I do really like it. Once this bottle is done, I will buy again. It's also clear drying so don't let the blue fool you. The mani below has it on 2 nails and I am not even going to tell you which because that ruins the fun, right?! Its just to show you it won't change it.

Can't wait to add more of these polishes and nail care items to my collection. Its a great brand with low costs so everyone can try something and not feel bad!

My weightloss transformation

Hi  Beauties!

This is a day late but I wanted to share this with you all. If you've followed me on here for awhile or on instagram, then you know my battle with myself and weightloss. I was doing really good for awhile but then got a little sidetracked and was headed down the wrong path gaining back some unwanted pounds. Food had won for awhile until one fun night a couple weeks ago. Me and my husband were at our friends house, drinking to much beer and came up with a fat bet. Me and my best friend against our hubbies! I, even though slightly buzzed, was all in. I needed something like that to get me back to me, even though I was in this with 3 other people.
Something just clicked. I've never been this motivated and never been so happy. I run a mile everyday and then walk/run till I get to the 2nd mile. Sometimes I do more but I always try to do at least 2. I don't want to over do myself so I think the 2 miles thing is great for now.

I always look at transformation tuesday pictures and think, "I should really do that!" So, after searching and searching for a picture of where I started(probably searched an hour because I hated pictures taken of me) I finally found one. I almost want to ball up and cry because of the person I was. That wasn't me and that wasn't healthy.

left is a couple years ago and right is last Friday.

It's been about a year and even with the bumps I've dealt with and failing a little, I am back to me. I feel wonderful, healthy, happy, energized, motivated and beautiful. I don't know the last time I truly felt beautiful. I am taking it day by day and doing everything healthy. No powders, supplements, nothing. Just eating good and relying on foods that are good for me to give me the nutrition I need. I don't want to rely on anything besides that. That's just me and I know not everyone would like that. I do.

All I can say to those battling with weight is take it slow. 1 day at a time, 1 pound at a time. Don't be hard on yourself and don't play the what if game. Don't compete with others. Focus on a bunch of small goals instead of the one big one. You will feel like you've accomplished so much more if you set small goals. That's what I do and I feel great and so happy with every goal I meet instead of only focusing on that final goal that feels like it takes forever to get to because your dwelling on it.

I am here for you if you need help, have a question, or just want to know something about my story!

Loaded Lacquer: Tiki Torched

Hi Beauties!

Those who know Heather from Loaded Lacquer knows she makes awesome glitter polishes. I have a few and they are some of the best glitters I own. So when I saw a more creme type polish with added shimmer, I knew I had to try. This is so unique and so gorgeous. I love the pink shimmer in the grayish base. I found it to be opaque in 2 coats and long lasting with a good topcoat. So glad I bought this for my growing Loaded Lacquer collection!

You can find this polish and more at LoadedLacquer.com There is also a instagram with the name loadedlacquer. If you decided to check out her polishes, let her know I sent you over just for fun.

Week 1 of the Busy Girl Nail Challenge

Hi Beauties!

If your on instagram and love nail challenges, you should really be following me! I co-host a fun challenge that is easy for everyone. Its the Busy Girl Nails Spring Challenge. You only have to post the one mani a week that coordinates with the theme and you can be as creative or basic as you want!

This week was Pastel and I knew I wanted to do a gradient, I didn't expect to add the flowers but it turned out good and now I can't stop looking at my nails!

I don't have nail art tools at the moment so I had to improvise and use a floss pick end. Turned out good for using a non nail tool!
All the polishes are the lime crime polishes and then the HK girl topcoat.

Come join in on the fun and don't forget to follow and tag me. I want to see what everyone does!

Nicka K New York Lipsticks{Euphoria & Resort}

Hi beauties and a happy Friday!

A few weeks ago Nicka K did a giveaway on instagram and I somehow got lucky and won. Yay!
I knew about their polish but didn't know they had cosmetics until winning. These 2 lipsticks were apart of the prize and of course I was stoked. I love lip products and trying new brands.
After receiving these, I had to check out their website. I found lots of stuff I now want and the best part is they are budget friendly. These lipsticks are only $4.99!

If you want to check them out click: *HERE*
left is Eurphora and right is Resort

They are creamy, pigmented, moisturizing, long lasting. Basically everything you want in a lipstick and they are cheap! They have a sweet smell that isn't overpowering. It actually smells really good but like I said not overpowering for those sensitive to smell and goes away. I am hooked and want to get a few more now. They have a variety of colors so I am sure there is something for everyone!

I say try if you can!

*excuse the hearts in the picture. I edited these before the whole blog name mess and having to shorten it.

essence nail polish: Power Girl

Hi Beauties!

I'm baaaack. After having my domain taken(my fault in the end but still!) I didn't know what I should or wanted to do. I decided for now just to shorten it and keep the blogspot on the end. I think a big change could hurt or I might get lost so I just kept it simple since my twitter and instagram name is Mirandas Makeup, why not do that for the ole blog! Anyways, before I ramble on any further.

I spotted a new collection from essence at Fred Meyers. The polish is the first thing that stood out to me and I ended up with 4 out of the 5. This one I thought was so gorgeous in the bottle, I hoped it would be on nail.
It is.

This is Power Girl

Took 2 coats to achieve awesomeness and love how gorgeous the blue to purple is. If you can find this, grab it!
